Background

The research network started as a loose knit group who helped organize the Nordic Cybercrime conference, a conference born in a Cybercrime project at Aalborg university, 2016. As the conference moved between Denmark, Norway and Sweden, it began attracting a larger number of European scholars. Beginning in 2023, the conference was renamed as the Policing in the Digital Society Conference, and the network was formalized to establish a more sustainable basis for future conferences.
